Asdās is a blooming celebrative expression of Life and its cycles.
A reflection of the visible, and an uncovering of the hidden. Sharing a moment of discovery.
One must embark on a journey to the origin to uncover the hidden beauty of nature.
From water comes life.
Simple life develops to complex life.
Flora and Fauna flourish the earth.
But yet we can go further and seek the hidden patterns, the golden rules and physics that govern. To the artist, this is also done through the study of geometry. He combines both elements to uncover something wonderful.
A seed contains all information for replicating its source.
A seed relies on specific conditions for growth.
A seed’s conditions are based on Energy, Shelter, Nutrition and Water.
A seed blooms into a beautiful arrays of morphology, in flora it manifests as stems, roots, leafs and flowers.
A seed transforms and becomes a source of multiple seeds, all containing all information to replicate its source.
The art work attempts to reflect these ideas and more.
To the artist, Intelligent design recognises Phi or the golden rule as a repeating pattern in biology and nature.
Using the golden rule phi Φ as a starting point derived from dotted square grids ;
12 clockwise spirals emerge from the centre.
With Duality being a key in nature, another 12 emerge counter clockwise.
This forms a flower with 81 pedals each with a unique colour.
What is a flower without its hope to attract visitors ?
To the artist working with geometry is usually a monotone exercise but with this work he discovers an orchestra of colour; all through numbers and angle values, a intersecting colour wheel forms completing the piece.
The work celebrates and reflects nature and the artist found understanding of its wonder, beauty, duality and cycles; from seed to tree.
